The Honda Civic has become the gold standard for compact sedans. An American favorite, the Civic boasts a reliable reputation, sporty demeanor, and affordable value. Honda has recently unveiled its 10th generation version, with its 2016 model year. Thanks to the automaker’s painstaking attention to detail, premium materials, refined design, and powerful engine options, the new 2016 Honda Civic is positioned to set the bar even higher.
The automaker started with an entirely new frame, built from higher-strength, lighter-weight steel, and added a new large grille (similar to the ones found on the new CR-V and Accord), shifted the cabin backwards for a more dramatic and aerodynamic profile, and added Standard LED daytime running lights and C-shaped taillights. A sculpted exterior design adds muscular appeal, while premium materials inside offer luxury comfort.
Powerful Engine Options
According to digitaltrends.com, two all-new engines are available in the 2016 Honda Civic, including the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder with Honda’s i-VTEC variable valve timing system and the upgraded 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. Both options promise improved power and sporty performance.
The new Civic will come with a long list of available features, including the Honda Sensing suite of electronic safety systems (which includes Road Departure Mitigation, Collision Mitigation Braking, and adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow), a Display Audio system, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, and TFT information display.
