The 2015 Honda Fit is known for its fuel efficiency, surprisingly roomy interior, abundant cargo space, and peppy performance, but now, it looks like it has yet another great feature to add to its list—top-notch safety. To add to its list of accolades, the Honda Fit was recently awarded a Five-Star Overall Vehicle safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
“The Fit shows that owning a smaller car doesn’t mean you need to skimp on space, comfort or crashworthiness,” said Art St. Cyr, vice president of auto operations at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “Honda’s commitment to the safety of your customers and other road users is second to none, and the Fit demonstrates this commitment in a powerful way.”
The Honda Fit Five-Star safety rating was awarded after the Fit passed government crash testing with flying colors. It’s no surprise either: the Fit boasts an Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, which improves frontal crash energy management, and an array of safety technologies, such as the available LaneWatch blind-spot system.
