Honda Uses More American Manufacturing!

Honda AmericaMany people dismiss Honda as just another Japanese automaker. Some even won’t shop for a Honda because it’s a foreign car.

Boy, do we have news for them!

In 2013, Honda shipped more US-built cars around the world than it imported into the United States, becoming a net exporter! There were also 466,695 Honda Accords made in America, making it the #1 car built in America.

Honda builds cars at plants across the US, in states like Ohio, Alabama, and Indiana. They also make cars at a plant in Mexico and Canada.

According to Honda North America’s president and CEO, Tetsuo Iwamura, “Achieving net exporter status is a natural result of our commitment and investment in the U.S. and North America.”

The major car exported from the US was the Honda Accord. The 2014 Accord is a sedan built with you and your family in mind.  A 2013 IIHS Top Safety Pick +, and it won the Green Car Journal’s Green Car of the Year award! You can check it out for yourself right here at Valley Honda!
