Honda is leading the pack yet again. This time they are setting the standard high in their retails sales numbers. Not only is Honda making advances overall, they are also foremost in four separate model categories.
R.L. Polk & Co came out with data for the first five months of 2013 that crowned Honda the top winner in percentage of sales to retail buyers. The vehicles included in these stats are those sold to individual consumers, rather than for company purposes.
No surprise, Honda’s top selling models were the models that also topped their individual categories. The Accord, Civic, CR-V, and Odyssey are all light-duty vehicles that consumers are flocking to dealerships to purchase.
John Mendel, executive vice president of sales for American Honda Motor Co., feels that these numbers represent the quality vehicles Honda is making. “We’re earning our sales growth on the strength of our products and the value they deliver to individual car buyers,” he said in a recent interview.
