Have you ever thought about what it would be like to live in a home that utilized all the latest and greatest in renewable energy technology? That’s the idea behind the Honda Smart Home US. This “Zero Net Energy” concept home will be a showcase for renewable energy innovation.
An important part of sustainable living is transportation. The Honda Smart Home will address this component with a Honda Fit EV battery electric vehicle. The battery for this EV will be charged using solar power.
Some of the additional technologies that will be used in the Honda Smart Home include a solar power system for the house, the Honda Energy Management System and a high-efficiency HVAC* and lighting system. These technologies and more will allow the home to reach the highest levels in green building certifications. Click here to read more about these technologies.
The Honda Smart Home should be completed by the end of 2013. For more information on the Honda Smart Home or the Honda Fit EV, visit Valley Honda in Aurora, Illinois.
