Honda and the all-new Accord are bringing “Cash Cab” to Chicago. Starting today, Honda will alert all Honda hand raisers, news story readers and general news and information interested parties about the Cash Cab Promotion going on from 11 PM to 6 PM on October 20th. For 19 hours, the Accord Cash Car will be in Chicago’s Navy Pier Gateway Park.
“With an innovative, fun-to-drive product like the all-new 2013 Honda Accord, we wanted to create an exciting, innovative contest to help people experience it,” said Mike Accavitti, vice president of automotive marketing at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “Accord is the new value leader in the mid-size class because it excels in all areas and the Accord Cash Car promotion will bring that story to life.”
Mobile “billboard” trucks will be in the marketplace on Friday October 19th and before the event Saturday as well. The first-ever Honda Accord Cash Car competition will provide contestants an opportunity to give their knowledge of the 2013 Accord in trade for cash and an entry to win a brand-new Accord.
Ben Bailey of “Cash Cab” will be hosting the event, also participating in Phoenix, L.A. and N.Y.C. The reason for the promotion is to raise awareness of its standard features along with the advancement of technology of the 2013 Accord among consumers. The 9th-generation Accord is looking to make a mark on its class by combining what Honda says “the total pacakge of luxury, safety, efficiency, agility and technolog which makes it the smartest choice in its ultra-completive segment.”
