On July 14, Honda unveiled the all-new 2018 Honda Accord, signaling what Honda is calling a “new direction” for the best-selling midsize sedan. The new Accord, which will appear on the lot at Valley Honda this fall, will be sportier and more premium in design and features than the outgoing model.
With the recent 2018 Honda Accord preview, we learned a few things about the upcoming sedan:
- Sportier Design. Honda promises a new stance and more athletic appearance, with a lower height, longer wheelbase, more dramatic angles, and new elegant details for elements like the chrome wing front grille on the front fascia and available LED headlights and fog lights.
- Better Cabin. Inside, the Accord is more “elegant and tech-savvy” with a panoramic forward view, a sportier steering wheel, easier movement via improved seat positioning, and updated tech, including the available six-inch driver’s Head Up Display.
- New Engines. The Accord boasts three new engine options for 2018; two of them are direct-injected and turbocharged four-cylinders, and the third is a two-motor hybrid powertrain.
- More Safety Tech. Also among the updates are a host of Honda Sensing® safety technologies, like Collision Mitigation Braking System™ and Adaptive Cruise Control.
